I found Berghof Realty after the realtor I had connected with was out of town when I arrived in Santa Rosa to look at houses after driving a thousand miles. I work with Peter Foley who listen carefully to what I was looking for and only sent listings that were a good fit. I really like that I didn't have to sign a contract with Berghof. Their excellent service guarantees that clients will continue to work with them. It isn't easy buying a house from a distance. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided.

Throughout the entire process Peter was responsive to any and all of our questions, provided advice when requested, and was able to quickly gather information on available homes. Ernest helped me with the sale of my father's home after my dad passed away unexpectedly. I knew he'd get it sold and get a good price, because that's his reputation -- but what I didn't expect was that he would provide such extraordinary service. He handled EVERYTHING: cleaning, assessment, repairs, staging, you name it. I had my hands full with the estate, and I felt completely comfortable saying, "Ernest, I leave it to you." I was not only happy with the result, I was happy with the process. Strongly recommend!

Several years ago I finally decided to move away from my hometown.Sonoma County was my first choice. I have friends in Guerneville, Healdsburg and Sonoma and decided I wanted to be close to them in my "sunset years". It took me almost two years of shopping to find the right location for me AND to find Ernest and colleagues. In October of 2014 I had almost decided to wait but then I saw a posting for a lovely home in Rohnert Park. Alas, that was not for me and I looked in Windsor and finally Santa Rosa. Ernest's selection for me to view here were lovely but the 3rd one called to me immediately. Having bought and sold several homes before I was confident that Berghof&Co. would give me the assistance and honesty I desired.
New to the area, I depended heavily on Ernest's referrals and the process was speedy. The inspections were easy and I am still in contact with several of the contractors he referred to me. Ernest made me feel like a family member and took care of me throughout the process and well beyond. He is a very special businessman with a huge desire to help his clients.

We have had the privilege of having Ernest as our realtor three different times now and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. He is knowledgeable, pleasant to do business with and has gone far out of his way to help us on more than one occasion. When we needed to sell quickly, he was able to do so much faster than other homes on the market. We would recommend him in a heartbeat!

What an amazing experience it was buying our home; I cannot express how thankful we are for Ernest and the Berghof Realty team! I met Ernest while networking a few years ago and stayed in touch. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that he had a team working with him to make sure everything was very smooth and comfortable, and from the very start Ernest and his buyer client manager, Joshua, gave us a red carpet treatment. After our first tour we believed we found the right property. Ernest and Joshua helped us through the decision-making process and we truly felt guided while having control the whole time. They then negotiated an amazing offer for us and submitted all the paperwork as we entered into contract!
To make a long story short we slept on it and realized this property was not the one, and Ernest was so understanding of our situation. He guided us through the process of canceling our contract and then we regrouped and went out a week later and found the right one! We had a quick and easy close just in time for Thanksgiving.
