Breathless produces award winning sparkling wines in a friendly atmosphere that embraces the spirit of celebrating life daily. Breathless Wines is a family affair, built by the love of three sisters, and the passion for life that their mother passed down to them. The sisters are dedicated to creating sparkling wines that pair well with life's special moments with award winning winemaker, Penny Gadd-Coster! Sabrage lessons, caviar picnics and tours of the amazing riddling racks and disgoraging line as bubbles are being born in the bottle in the method champanoise, just like it is done in Champagne.

Had a lovely tasting yesterday at Breathless with my 2 girlfriends.
Weird day - we arrived at 3pm and got the place to ourselves.
Kirby was our host. Very pleasant conversation, info about the winery, grapes, wine makers.
The wines were delicious too. I signed up for the wine club. Who can't use 12 bottles of sparkling in their life? Plus, will make great holiday gifts and we can go back for a complementary tasting again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 2022
Breathless is a quaint winery in an industrial part of town but offers some great bubbly vinos. A pleasant change from all the reds in Sonoma. Nice personalized plaque at the table with my name.
For our tasting today we had the bubbly flight including:
Welcome wine: Brut Sonoma county 4/5
Blanc de noirs (opened) 3/5
Blanc de noirs (freshly opened) 3/5
Brut Rose 4/5
Sparkling Moscato 4/5
Our server was was attentive and brought us a bowl of chips to accompany our tasting. Nice logo stemware.
Sabrage experience available for $75. Your choice of bottle and your server will use an Italian Sabre to open your bottle!
Yes, we would come back for the bubbly experience again.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Business owner information

Breathless left us breathless for all of the wrong reasons. Terrible service with mediocre wines that are vastly overpriced. This review is actually loooong overdue but still very warranted.
Came here with a friend last year for a tasting as we'd both heard great things about this place from multiple people. Breathless requires you to pay in advance by making a reservation through Tock. It's $20 per person for a tasting plus tax. I made reservations for us a couple weeks in advance. Their tasting room is actually located in a warehouse a couple blocks from Downtown Healdsburg. I have nothing against warehouse tasting rooms, but for them to be requiring $20 upfront for this "warehouse" experience is absolutely absurd.
We arrived on time for our tasting and waited at the podium until the owner greeted us. She sat us and told us that she'd be with us momentarily. Minutes go by, and she's still nowhere to be found. A couple gets sat behind us and they receive service from another sommelier right away. That same sommelier *passes us several times with no acknowledgment*. What's wrong with this picture? We finally see the owner and realize that she's tending to a different party. I mean, wtf?!
Finally, the other sommelier comes to our table and asks us if we've been helped as we sit there with no glasses of wine or even a wine menu on our table. We tell her that we're waiting for the owner to come to our table. She then chats with the owner and then comes backs to tell us that she'll be helping us. Wow, great way to pawn us off on someone else! She could have at least done a warm transfer. Very unprofessional. We're still waiting for your our wine glasses at this point. A few minutes later, the lady comes back and pours us some sparkling. Literally just pours it and tells us the name. No details or anything. Mind you, we're still sitting there without a wine menu so we don't even know wtf we're drinking.
The pour was super tiny, so we finish it pretty quickly. Again, nobody is around to give us our next wine pour. We see the lady assisting the couple behind us. She gives them chips and they're looking at a menu. She comes flying past us and we stop her and tell her that we're ready for our next pour. She comes back and pours our next wine. We ask her if we can have a tasting menu and chips as well. "Oh I didn't, give you a menu?!". *Crickets*. Well, do you see anything other than wine glasses on the f*cking table?!
Again, minutes go by before she comes back to our table. She brings the chips. Do you know that this fool gave us ONE bag of chips? Like one small Individual sized bag. We were so through. At this point, we're ready to just get this tasting over with. She pours the wine and again, the pour is super tiny. We remind her that we still need a tasting menu. She finally comes back with the tasting menu on our 4th and final wine pour.
After looking at the menu, we realized that we had a choice of what tasting that we could have chosen. This broad never even ASKED us which tasting that we wanted from the start, and we still had no idea what the hell she had been pouring us. We're really pissed at this point, but it's the end of the tasting. Do you know that homegirl NEVER came back to our table?! Never came back. We literally waited there out of courtesy. I mean, what if we actually wanted to BUY something?! She was too busy chatting it up with some other table. We literally just got up and left! Like wtf!
Rude, unprofessional, and completely dismissive. And for the record, the place WASN'T that busy and the wines were mediocre at BEST! How dare these people charge $20 for this sh*tty experience! This is going down as one of the worst wine tasting experiences in my wine tasting history. I will NEVER spend a dime on this place ever again.Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you so much for your review. I wish I could bring back that day in my memory but I feel yours and am so very sorry for the impression it has left on you. I do see in my notes on that day, we were short handed with team members taking off. The presentation you recall is nowhere near the expectations we set for ourselves and I so wish we coud have talked that day to make is as right as we could for you. We fell short and we all apologize. I would invite you to return but I also understand how you feel. We will refund your tasting fee and would be honored to have redo. We have an entire new team and it is truly amazing!! Please accept our sincerest of apologies for the way you felt after your tasting. Thank you for your comments they do assist us in paying attention, addressing and growing to give the best experience to all who take their time to visit us. I know in the last year we have grown leaps and bounds as I receive emails regularly from current customers and members. Thank you for posting a photo of the cabana. That was very nice of you! With gratitude and apologies, Sharon and the Breathless Team

Cute little spot tucked in a "warehouse" spot. We enjoyed charcuterie with our sparkling wine tasting. Welcomed with a sign and nice table. They do sabrage here (technique for opening a champagne bottle with a saber), pretty cool.

My favorite part of this winery was the super delicious Caviar Picnic. I highly recommend getting it if you love caviar! The mix of sparkling wine, crème fraîche, caviar, and potato chips was so complimentary and stunning. The sparkling wine in our tasting was very good!! I will def be back for another Caviar Picnic in the very near future! Maybe my birthday?
This winery has a heartwarming backstory where three sisters founded it in honor of their mother. Please check out their story on their own website, as I won't be able to do it justice. It's lovely that these sisters found something together in honor of their mother's memory. I also got to meet two of the three sisters and they were all very friendly and helpful!
We were lucky enough to have nearly the entire winery to ourselves most of the time we were there on this sunny Sunday. We really got our choice of seating and could browse the gift shop without any crowds. I ended up buying the cutest champagne flutes and a super cute shirt that says "I only drink champagne on two occasions. When I am in love and when I am not." Totally accurate, am I right?!
They also get props for super clean bathrooms! And they are very dog-friendly! My Lilo was definitely welcomed here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Veronica H.San Jose, CA1616750Oct 6, 2022
This place is so cute and intimate! The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We did the basic tasting but our host let us try one more wine (the blanc de blancs) on the house. We really liked the brut and the blanc de noirs. The moscato was really nice too - not super sweet, a little tart, and just delicious. If you love sparkling wine as I do, you have to check out Breathless.
